ah, there really is nothing like home! towards the end of the trip i started to get that feeling, you know just that realization of how travel really can wear you out sometimes, which i'm sure contributed to the low-key last couple of days. and as much as i LOVED my time away, i was oh so glad to flop down on to my bed!
i've been blessed to have this be my 4th trip to europe and i have to say i think i'm most... proud of this trip. that's not to say i didn't enjoy my other trips, because all in all my very first trip in 2000 which was actually my shortest, was the trip of a lifetime and one filled with such...magic i can't even explain it in words most of the time. however with this trip i was proud because i made a budget - and stuck to it this time! i saw everything i wanted to see, and discovered some great things along the way that i didn't know about. i got out of my comfort zone and met some great people who i shared some great memories with. the whole trip was kind of exactly what i wanted it to be! i can't think of one thing i regret doing or not doing, and i came away from it with more knowledge about the world, more knowledge about myself and who i want to be and what i want to do with my life! i mean what more can i ask for?!
"No one realizes how beautiful it is to travel until he comes home and rests his head on his old, familiar pillow..."
