Before my Las Vegas Meet-up, Roger (www.travbuddy.com/X-Drive) had mentioned he would be traveling through Tucson on his long 10,000-mile travel through south- western Unite States. We agreed to have with her a coffee or lunch break depending on what time they arrived. Roger was traveling with Judy (www.travbuddy.com/hummingbird) That day much sooner after the Las Vegas Meet up, on the morning of the 12th, Judy called me informing me that they were in just outside of Phoenix headed to Tucson, I asked their actually location and she said Queen Creek.

I told her it was approximately an hour and a half's drive from there to Tucson; we agreed to have lunch since they were to arrive at a quarter to noon.
I find that I'm directionally challenged many times unless I'm behind the wheel. Poor Judy unknowingly asks me if they should turn left or right once they get to the Kolb (270) exit from I-10, and I say right. They ended up in the boonies and Roger called me back for directions. The only other option was the left of course, lol!!! Well they made it just fine into Tucson and we settled for a bite at SAUCE. Bogdan, (www.travbuddy.com/worldrunner) had joined me and my daughter about 15 minutes earlier, as we waited for Judy and Roger to arrive.

We had lemonade and my daughter who loves pepperoni could not wait to place her order; so she began eating before everyone arrived, lol!! Sauce is one of my favourite restaurants in Tucson simply because they make pizza like it was meant to be made - no thick dough and sticky tomato sauce, eeew. They make the best salads too, if you are a health f***k, you are going to love Sauce, they have a healthy choice of foods and the taste crowns it all.
Roger was not feeling too well so he did not order a full meal; he had some soup to sooth his upset tummy, Judy ordered something small as well. I was simply amazed at how much driving they were doing and how poised they both looked. Roger has a quiet charm about him and Judy is so much fun to converse with. My daughter on the other hand was so excited that she was talking all sort of pictures (some of which I had to delete because they were blurred). She ceased each moment to be in the pictures and could not help herself when we asked her to take the group picture • I must say she did a great job, the blog profile picture was taken by her, hahaaaa!
The sun was rather hot that day, but the brisk wind made it feel so nice and fresh to sit outside rather than inside.
We however had trouble getting some good photo shots since the shade over the porch we were seating under had strips that let the sun peer through in strips the photos describe that better, lol!! We had lunch for just about an hour; Judy and Roger had to be on their way if they were to make it to their next stop which was Wilcox. They made a stop in Tombstone (Judy told me the next day through a comment for me). Judy and Roger, it was a delight meeting you both in Tucson, hoping our paths cross again sooner than later. I love TB Meet Ups!
