Yesterday was the end to one of the longest works week in the history of my career. At 4:45 I was still meeting with one of my employees, when I received the call that I had been waiting for--- the answer. Could I get the time off?
It has been granted. I got off the phone and was able, in the last minutes of the day, to get in touch with Emily, Dave's family friend who was able to get me a fantastic price on a ticket, for the same flight as Dave and Angela. She saved me roughly $400. For a trip that is a bit last minute and for an impulsive buy, I am stoked. =)
So, July 15th through the 22nd- Dave, Angela and I will be off to Thailand! This is a dream come true that just unexpectedly fell into my lap. I have yet to visit any places in this area of the world, and I am absolutely ecstatic. I went to the book store last night and already bought my travel book.
This is just a continuation of one the best travel years of my life. More later.
