So woke up today just in time to watch the sunrise. I had told myself that no matter the time that my night was to end I would be up early enough every morning to watch the sun come up over the horizon.
Spent the day laying around on the beach, needed a day to just relax. The resort that we were staying at had a large French Canadian population there that week but from what I learn later in the day it is very common. I am not one to let little things bother me, but the problem was that there were a group of younger kids there, and from what I could tell it may have been the first time that they had ingested alcohol, but they were being increasingly rude to the staff at the bar. This did not sit right with some of the other guests and it did not take long for these kids to be put in their spot.
Well today is the rehearsal for my brother's wedding, the reason for this little winter getaway. Lady setting everything in order is sweet and full of energy. She is very helpful and speaks English extremely well, as I am sure she has dealt with many groups of people like us. The rehearsal went off really well, it was quick and she handled all of the questions and concerns with a very professional confidence.
With refearsal now over and everyone already having cleaned up before we decided to head off for a bit to eat. I had my usual, a nice big plate of fish with a side dish of a cuban bean that was a little spicy but tasty. I went through quite a few glasses of water with this dish, could have also been that I had started to become dehydrated as I had not left the sun in a few days now.
Another fabulous day in paradise was coming to a close as we sat out on the patio enjoying our usual Cuban Rum with some new friends and I sat with my brother and chatted, less than 24 hours and you he will become another member of the married club. I have to say I am not married but if the day is to come I am leaning toward the beauty of the sun down here to enjoy my last few days of unmarried life. Is that a word, must be spell check did not catch it.
A quick look at the watch and it reads 2am, looks like another night of a few hours sleep...
