Meeting Mick, Nicki, & the kids

Today we move on to Taupo. Not a very long drive. We even got to the lookout where we were to meet, without getting lost.
They had driven up from Feilding (near Palmerson North). It had snowed the night before so they drove through the Desert Rd with snow all around. We only got photos from the Taupo lookout. As there was some time before checking in to our cabin, we went to Huka Falls. Very pretty. A bit of a look around town, some lunch and then it was time to check into our cabin. Nicki had booked the cabin as they have stayed there a few times. After a cuppa we went out to where the Huka Jet boats were and Andrew Mick & 8yr old Claire went for a ride. Then the mundane part of holidays!- shopping! A barbeque for dinner and then unwind. Slowly everyone went off to bed.
