A trip to visit friends so we took more time to do the tourist thing.

Adelaide toAuckland

The view from our balcony

A full day of travelling. Of course that's how it seemed but that is also because at this time of the year NZ is 3 1/2 hours ahead of Adelaide. No problems getting through customs and even better, our 'chauffeur' was waiting to take us to our hotel. It is so nice walking out of customs and seeing someone standing with a sign that has your name on it.  We arrived at the appartments that I had booked and we got settled in before going for a short walk to pick up a couple of grocery items and something to eat from the fish and chip shop. We were staying in a 1 brm apartment so we just relaxed and looked out at the lights from our balcony. Tonight we will have a good nights sleep and tomorrow we will start to have a good look around.

wow - very "studio" :)
at least you can be everywhere in your apartment at the same time: open the fridge, clean the shower, turn on the tv - all without getting up from your couch :)

Good value
To enter this complex a security card is needed. Of course we were let in by the reception staff and after checking in, we had our own cards. The card is also needed to use the lifts and then of course, the room. A nice little 1 bedroom appartment. There was a washing machine and dryer in the bathroom. There was a balcony which was good to stand on and get fresh air or check the view. However there was no room on the balcony for chairs. There was no room service during the stay. The hotel has a swimming pool and gymnasium. There is limited secure carparking under the hotel.
It is close to Queen St and the Britomart. It is within walking distance of the Casino although it is a long/steep walk but good. If you walk to Queen St or the Britomart, there is a free loop bus so it is easy to get to the Casino. It is also interesting just to see what is nearby.
Close to public transport.
