The home of Bolognese

Arrived in Bologna mid afternoon and walked the 15mins to our hotel. Nice little place on the other side of the train station as the city centre and not that far away that we'd need to get buses to get around.
We both weren't feeling all that good – combination of drinking a bit too much the night before, bumpy train rides sitting backwards and forwards, etc. So we decided to rest a little before going out. Nothing worse than trying to enjoy the great food Bologna is said to offer if your feeling a little queasy.
So after a good nap we were both feeling a lot better and headed out to see the city. There's a lot of shops, both designer and run of the mill. This is what we were expecting Milan to look like – old buildings with new stores in them. There were lots of people sitting at the various cafes, trattorias and bars having a drink, talking loudly and waving their hands all over the place.
After a while of walking around looking at the shop windows and seeing if there are any sights to see – not a great deal of them except for cathedrals – we found a little trattoria and sat down for a meal. And what a great meal it was – 3 courses of great tasting Italian food all for 10 euros!
