Why won't it fall over?

The weather was quite good in the morning and so after doing the repack and washing up the dishes we checked out and headed into the centre of town to see what it was famous for. It was only a 10-15min walk from the camp so that was handy. Once you peer through the main wall gates you are faced with hordes of tourists and street sellers – some legit most not.
We like everyone else there did the tacky poses in front of the tower, trying to push it up or leaning against it. It was funny to look along the edge of the park seeing all the people with their hands up acting like they are pushing the tower. What was more funny was seeing the illegal street vendors having a few choice words with each other because they were getting to close to the other's area. It didn't last long once they saw some of the other sellers running and soon enough about 40-50 of the sellers were bolting along the road and out the front gate getting away from the Police riding the push bikes. You could tell they weren't trying to catch them, just scare them away.
That's about really all there is to see here so it wasn't such a shame that it rained last night or we'd have nothing to do today.
