Nottingham is a bland city especially after visiting Chester, Lakes and
Loch Lomond. There's not really much to say about it - the hostel we
had was crappy, but it was clean and we both slept well in our bunks
sharing the room with another guy. Went to see the Tales of Robin Hood
tour which was a tacky little tour about - can you guess - Robin Hood.
It was funny and the people that were acting in the era were really
good. It was a nice way to spend a few hours. Close by is the castle
which used to be Sheriff of Nottingham's place - but of course it isn't
a castle anymore. We spent quite a while walking around looking at the
art and history of nottingham. After that we headed off to see where
Robin Hood and his Merry Men hung out - Sherwood forest. The place
would be cool when all the leaves and flowers come out providing great
coverage - but it was pretty bare when we walked though. After being a
little bit disappointed with Nottingham and Sherwood we drove through
Sherwood Pine forest. This was much nicer because it seemed more like
a forest - and Bec got to see a squirel.
