Something kinda Naboo

Being "so close" to Morroco we thought we'd try and have some Morrocan for lunch, but as the one restaurant we found didn't open for lunch until 2.30 (stupid time) we had a big chinese feed instead.  Mmmm pork buns.  Can't quite remember what we did straight after this so chances are we went back to the hostel for a siesta.

Later in the day we headed towards the large park of Maria Louisa Park and the Plaza de Espana which covers quite a lot of ground and was within easy walking distance.  Unfortunately, like most place we visit, there was some maintenance work going on to the paths and the ponds so we couldn't sit back and relax and watch the water, instead looked at all the trees and all the people wandering between them.  We spent quite a long time walking through the park and then admiring the architecture of the Plaza.
We later found out that the Plaza was used as the basis for some shots of Naboo in Star Wars Attack of the Clones.  At the time it didn't register as we were more interested in actually looking at all the different tiles, the huge fountain and the massive building.

On the way back to our hostel we stopped in at a little funky bar and had some drinks.  It seemed to be quite a popular place for all ages so we stayed a little while.  Eventually we decided we should head back to the hostel and cook up some great dinner - chorizo and a variety of vegies.  It was very tasty and probably nothing like you'd get at any tapas bar or restaurant.
