Arrived around midday to lovely warm weather despite what the weather forecast had said. We were both totally shattered from spending the night in the airport – sleepless night is the cost of not forking out for a hostel. Also, we were feeling quite crappy for being in the same clothes for so long, so we didn't bother trying for buses, just straight for a taxi.
Needed cash so wandered around eventually finding it – was hot and humid. Hungry from missing lunch so we had an mid afternoon meal at a little restaurant (the first we saw) and Craig had a massive pizza and Bec had a chicken salad. Both feeling weary so headed back to the hostel to have a shower and get out of the same clothes we'd been wearing for 2 days and also for a rest.
Eventually rose a few hours later ready for dinner. Might seem we eat all the time but not having breakfast or a proper dinner the night before put us out of whack. As we were walking along past all the cafe bars with the outdoor seating and all the people watching the Euro cup was smelt something fantastic – cevupi's on a grill. We followed our nose which lead us to a small shop which looked like a take-away place, but had a few tables outside. We'd turned up at the right time as a table was available so sat down and ordered a big plate of cevupi.
They were so delicious! While strolling back to the hostel we were both looking forward to our next serving of cevupi.
