Lots of unnessesary bathroom stops (I was making sure we took our time getting there) a very cranky Eric and I pull into Barrett Cove and Lake McClure, CA. I convince him that Mike and Kelly must be out in there boat enjoying the beautiful day since we were running so late so we should head to the water. We manage to get Eric and his jetski unknowingly up to the houseboat where he is ambushed by is friends and is shocked and pleased by the surpise. Lake McClure does not have a shoreline so if you go there in search of a beach to lie on you are in the wrong place if you are looking for smooth water at a good temperature well then this is a good spot. There were 11 of us on the houseboat we had plenty of room for moving around and storing all of our stuff. We stuck our ship in at a rocky shorline and every time we ate 3 deer would come down and beg for food. We had a 8 person hottub on deck and plenty of room for sunbathing, most of the days we spent floating in the water and refilling our drinks. The evening we used the onboard bbq to grill up burgers or steak and then sat around and caught up with each other.
