Ahh the morning after is never really that good is it? In reality it had only been about 2 hours since the partying had stopped but we all had to be up to check out of the hostel. The hostel had free "breakfast" which was free toast. I was starving since I hadn't eaten since about 3pm the prvious day so I had 6 slices haha. After we got all our stuff together everyone was hanging around in the dining area and outside. And then some more travbuddies from other hostels and hotels came there as well and we were a massive mob again. So there we go walking down the streets of Dusseldorf in the big group that we were. We stopped off at some little bar/cafe by this park and we got some beers and sat in the sun.
So pretty!
It was just so perfect. The only way you can really enjoy a Sunday afternoon. The weather was gorgeous and it was all warm and sunny and we just sat there drinking beer, coffee, or whatever and chatted. Had a great time! After a while we all split up as people had to catch trains and planes and what not. So we said all our goodbyes again and then it was just the London group left who came over together. Oh and Louise! We decided to go back to the first place that we went last night along the rhine river so we started the walk. It was actually pretty hot walking but it was so nice. I think we just assumed we could walk in like we didn't yesterday but then yesterday it was POURING rain and nobody was out. Today the sun was shining and it was beautiful out and along the river was packed! There were no seats at all, especially for 10 people! We ran into Victoria (viciousv) and her boyfriend and their dog along the river so it was nice to see them again.
Cheers!
And then we also met Kat again as well! We were all pretty hungry so we started to walk away from the river in search of a restaurant where we could get something to eat and drink. Being in Germany ofcourse we had to go to an Irish bar! But they had good food and we got a massive table where we could all fit so no one was complaining. Louise had to leave shortly after we got there because she had to catch her train back to London. Lucky her, she was actually leaving from the airport that is in Dusseldorf! After we were finished lunch we got up and walked around for a bit. Walked around Old Town and I don't really know what we were looking for but we found another random bar. We got some dessert and some more beers and hung out there for a while until it was time to look for some sort of transportation back to the unknown Weeze airport.

After a while we walked back to this square thing to hail a cab. We asked a driver to call us an 8 seater van with the hopes that the guy would be as cool as the guy from yesterday and take 9 of us again. Took a while for it to get there but eventually it did and we all just kind of got in the van and the guy was like, "there is too many," but we just played stupid and he was like oh whatever. So then we started the hour long journey back to the airport where most of us slept. Ask Matt for those attractive pictures haha. Checked in, went through secuirty, yada yada and we were on our way. This time we weren't so lucky and we didn't all get to sit with each other, we were all spread out all over the plane. And this time the plane ride was not so nice either!! There was tons of turbulence and it was NOT cool.
I wish it looked like this when we got back to London!!!
Alex not being that big a fan of flying and me, well I don't mind it, but only when it's not bad...so it wasn't that great. And the landing was horrible. We actually crashed into the ground! It was soo hard and it really hurt! There was no way we should have been going that fast! Thought we were gonna run out of runway lol. Me and Ben had to go through different security because we don't have UK passports and then it was time to say good bye again. Warren and Dave were driving and so were Wayne and Mark. Alex, Ruby, Matt,  Ben, and I caught the Stanstead express. So back in London now our weekend in Dusseldorf is officially over and so is this blog. I have to say, I had an amazing time and it was one of the funnest weekends I have ever had. I am so glad to have met all you awesome travbuddies and hope to see everyone again in the future!
