After months of saving and sacrificing, we had made it and were moments away from getting on the plane and jetting off to faraway lands.
Fabien's mother, Sonia, had arranged for us to stay with a friend of hers in Kensington before our flight - thanks Graham - so we only had a short (and therefore less stressful) journey to Heathrow Airport.
