The meet up before the meet up
April 18, 2008
I heard that quite a few ppl arrived on friday already, so I joined the group.
I was actually quite excited because everyone was already there and I didn't get to talk to most of them.
But everyone was nice and I felt comfortable right away. The weather was awesome and we walked down the promenade to the harbour.
We sat out in the sun at Woyton's but ordered at Starbucks' lol.
I think we were a group of 15... so it was easier to get to know and talk to everyone.
Though I didn't talk too much to Will since he was busy spilling starbucks coffee and play possum.. which was a lot of fun by the way. ;)
If anyone needs his address... I heard he lives in Düsseldorf now. His place is the biggest tower in town. You can't miss out on it... but he's got no elevator that's why he does not like to have visitors. :D He'd also drive you around but he's got a hard time finding his car sometimes...
However after awhile we were all freezing cold but most of all Melissa I think... She comes from Florida and arrived in Germany with flipflops haha. Well she's got a very cool pink coat now. :)
So we headed back, Lauro was missing and we planned to meet up in the old city. The girls were hungry. :)
We went to Alegria a spanish tapas restaurant where I kinda like to eat... so if anyone didn't like it... here's the one to blame! haha...
Lauro arrived with another 10 people I think and our group grew bigger... and more fun! After dinner we were lookin for a place to have a drink. We got denied a few times but finally found a place. .. lol I can't remember the name. Well it could've been everywhere the fun came with us not with the bar!
I got to know Roman who is no tb member but still joined the group for he was staying in the same hostel with others who told him bout the meet up. That was hilarious!! Couldn't help laughing my ass off... what luck for him to join a tb meet up even before becoming a tb member. He promised to sign up soon :D
Well the night was awesome no doubt... we had beer, we had wine, Max wrote a Lonely Max guide for Rome ;) , Ket was the magician and conjured me a rose (thanks again for that :D), Johan impressed me with his knowledge about the vietnamese language and Matt wanted Tea and I was there but it seems I was a bad substitute. :D
I left out so many I am sry but i am so so so wasted now I need to sleep. :D
Basically... what I wanted to say... the pre-meetup was wonderful.
