The first day in Düsseldorf, the PreParty

This is going to be my second Meet-up. Again pretty close to my hometown Zieuwent. I could drive to Düsseldorf with my car in 1,5 - 2 hours, but decided to drive to Emmerich, just across the German border and then take the train straight to Düsseldorf. I new that the Amsterdam-gang would arrive at 14:45, so I planned to be there at 14:56. But what happened: I had a 10 minute delay, because the international train from Amsterdam with on board the Amsterdam-gang, should pass me before we could continue the trip. Was that the first sign? J

When my train was entering Düsseldorf, Johan called me were I was: only 2 minutes away.

Next stop was at a small bar, but they closed when we showed up J .

We did see already the restaurant for the big Meet-up: Zollhof Trattoria.  Starbucks was very close, so we got us some coffee. The next thing is that Willem want to sue starbucks because the coffee was not hot enough! He dropped himself on the street and we took a lot of pictures of him, because he was touched by mental illness J.

We headed to the Tower because Lauro should meet us there. But it took very long and the girls were cold so they took place in the sun, but we called Lauro and we now should meet in the old town for dinner. We took seats at “Alegria” and ordered our diner and drinks. They another bunch of TravBuddies arrived and we were with about 20 people already!! After dinner we headed to a bar for more fun. First we had a beer on the streets, but no wine for the girls, so move on to another place. We found one and had a lot of fun there. You should see the movie of the waawaawawawawa-man that was taken by Matt. J J  After 2 am we decide to walk ‘home’.
