Walking the ddorf streets :)
Finally the 19th had arrived and it was time to attend my 2nd TB meetup. This time being held in Dusseldorf, Germany organised by the great leader Lauro. Lauro thank you for everything you did an amazing job, thank you for a great day! Marloes and her husband Bart were so kind to pick me up by car in my hometown Uden. After exploring the local supermarket ;) they arrived at my house. Our dog jumped on Marloes (He's a boy so.. duh..) and he also put on his Im-such-a-cutie performance wich earned him some food from Bart :). After that we started our journey to Dusseldorf. After 1.5 we arrived in the city, so that's all pretty close for me! Lauro waited for us at the Central trainstation and it was really great to see him again. We also met Archie from Denmark at the Central Station.

I hadnt met him before trough TB but it was great to meet him. Very easy going, friendly guy! We took a walk trough the city and then sat down at Starbucks for some food and drinks. Later we were joined by Matt and Wouter who were still recovering from the night before. They had some "breakfast" meaning: some muffins and cookies and other sweet stuff, and ofcourse some coffee and tea, because they could really use that. Haha. After that we went back to the Central station to meet up with the UK gang. Rubinaaaaaa :) So good to see you again. The Asian twins were reunited :) and ofcourse.. WAYNE, cutie Wayne ;). I also met the Lovely Lori at the Central Station. Sweet girl!! And there were loads of other English people who I didnt know yet but troughout the day I talked to most of them.

Great people all very friendly, so nice that you were all there. Then Ashish arrived my Asian brother ;). We took the english gang to their hostel and there we also met up with the adorable NYCgirl and Jefrois. All the way from NewYork! Respect to you guys!!! So great to have seen you!! and we also ran into Sonja at the hostel, by coincidence! It was travbuddy central at this hostel since we also saw Ket, Rowena, Wendy and the very dutch guy from Leiden but actually from Rome ;) but he looked sooooooo obviously Dutch ;) Obviously Im talking about the great AveMaximus! After meeting up at the Central Station again, but this time with the whole gang (so nice :) ) we went for a walk trough the city. We sat down for a drink and then the official part took place.

Handig over the TB trophy to Lauro for the great job he did and presenting some gifts to Bennie and Charlotte. Because of Bennie's upcoming trip to Brazil and for Charlotte's upcoming bday this week. After the drinks we went on our way to the restaurant. The dinner was just great. Everybody got a chance to talk to each other and it was a lot of fun. I was sitting close to Sylvie, Ana, Daniel and ofcourse Wouter (so glad to have met you) :). Such sweethearts!!! Mucho mucho mucho love to you guys! Sylvie thanks for the great conversations. See you in Ams. this summer!!! Then during the dinner I spotted Luciano at one of the tables. I didnt know he was coming so that was really great. What a great person! Looking forward to exploring his homecountry Romania sometime! I also met Victoria who I didnt know yet trough tb, she attended the meetup together with her partner and it was so nice talking to them!
I experienced some memorable moments like having my frist picture taking with an actual person from Syria.

After a lovely dinner it was time for me to say goodbye to everyone. Ofcourse I couldnt leave before shaking hands with everyone. There were still some people I hadnt talked to so now I could do so.. altough it was just for a minute. Stephanie and me still hadnt talked harry potter business so we did that at high speed in 30 seconds or something :) haha! I really didnt want to leave!! Im sure we will have more conversations at other meetups.
Thanks everyone for coming and for sharing a great time together. Im looking forward to seeing you all again in the future. I already opened a new topic in the meetup forum because I miss everyone already :)
