Looking down on Giant's Causeway from the cliff walk.
Following Carrick-a-Rede we headed up to Giant's Causeway, we had all been there before but decided we wanted to go back. We walked the cliff walks instead of taking the bus to the bottom and that turned out to be an excellent decision! I had never seen the Causeway from above. While we were walking on the cliff walk we started talking to a 17 year old young man from Canada who had been backpacking across Europe by himself for the past 6 weeks. He said that it was a graduation present from his parents and it was his big adventure before he started school at the end of the week. I told him I admired him for being able to travel for 6 weeks by himself cause I could never do it, I mean who would I talk to, lol. We saw all the great Giant's Causeway sites, the great organ and the Giant's boot to name a few.
You can see the cliff walk as it cuts across.
We hung out at the causeway for a while just enjoying the view. It was really windy that day and I had on my absolute favorite NY Yankee's ball cap on. Now, I had this hat for several years; it was while with ice blue lettering. I know you're thinking it's just a hat but you know when you find that perfact hat, it's just what you want it fits just so.... well, maybe you don't but I LOVED that hat. I no sooner said "Geez it's windy today" when WHOOSH a huge wind rips my hat off my head and out of my life forever. We searched for it because really how far could it have gone, but evidenlty that was the wind from OZ because I never saw my white NY Yankee's hat with ice blue lettering again :( A moment of silence please.
