Small cosy village in wintertime

Small village in Tirol.
It's a great place to ski, langlauf (cross-country) or hiking. Even in the middle of the village there is a loipe (track) for langlauf beginners.
From the village - from the hotels even - several tracks and trails start, so you don't have to go by bus/car/lift before you can start.
You can make great walks through the mountains and along the way there are a few 'huts' where you can relax with a hot chocolate
or schapps near an open fire. We really enjoyed our stays there!
I have to appologize for the quality of the photos. I took them before I owned a digital camera and had them put on a CD.
But I do think they give a good impression of the place.

Cosy hotel in wintertime
I was in Pertisau a couple of times in wintertime.
We didn't sleep in this hotel, but often went for a drink and to listen to the folklore music! Great place to meet others, to have a good time. Kind people serving. Nice entertainment during the evenings.

Hotel Karlwirt
Great hotel to stay in wintertime. From this hotel the cross-country tracks and hiking trails start. It has 2 restaurants, a bar, a lounge where you can play games in the evenings(card and boardgames available), a 'Hallenbad' (indoor swimmingpool) and sauna. Furthermore the same owners have 2 cosy Stüberl, one is near the edge of the forest at the langlauf track. Absolutely wonderful to sit there with a Glühwein or have a bite.
