Sunday we decided to head out to the National Gallery. Again, huge, as are all the national museums here seem to be. A really great collection as well! They had DaVinci, Picasso, Degas, Raphael, all sorts of huge names! Honestly, I was bored with some of the portrait stuff, because I don't really think portrait after portrait of people sitting in the same pose is interesting... but there were some other sections that were really great.
After the museum closed, we went to meet up with our friends Wesley and Simon. Wesley is our friend from back in Orlando and she's here on BUNAC as well, but her boyfriend Simon is a Brit so he's kind of stuck here. ;p Went to a really cool gastropub where we had some indescribably addictive French cider.
Now I'm back at another week of work at the receptionist job! They've actually booked me for the next two weeks, which is awesome. After this David and I will pretty much be set as far as cash goes, and we're going to really get into our travels.
There are LOTS of places I want to see but we've pretty much narrowed it down to this:
- July 11 - Amsterdam/Bruge International Friends trip (3 days)
- End of July - Paris BUNAC trip (3 days)
- TBD - Prague ? with Wesley and Simon (3 or 4 days)
We'd also like to do some more local stuff, sort of like the day trip thing we just did.
Well, I hope I've given you a nice novel to read today! Pictures I promise are coming soon for the last few entries. I've been updating mostly from work and therefore can't just plug in my camera and upload. Soon though, I promise!
