Richmond Green
Yesterday I had a trial shift at a really cute little italian cafe-type restaurant called Carluccio's.  Everyone was very nice and I really hope I end up working there.  Yeah, people here don't tip as much, but the girl I was following, Paola, said you can make about 350pounds a week and some people end up making 500 or 600!  The food looked really yummy, as well!  I'd hate to work at a place where I didn't enjoy the food.

After the shift (which was only about 3 hours), I went back to the house and David and I decided to go out for a bit.  My friend from camp, Caits, was in town for a bit (she's staying in Kent) and we wanted to go and visit, but the travel and money sitution would have been too much for too short a visit.

So instead we're going to try to meet up when she comes back next Wednesday.

Instead we ended up at Richmond Green and finally went to a pub!  The Cricketer is a pub right on the green that's been around since the 18th century and had a real nice feel to it.  Oh and btw, there's no open container law, so people were coming in to get beer in plastic cups to take out into the Green.  We finished our drinks and stepped out to lay on the grass for a bit.  The Green is basically a huge field that people just hang out in, play football or cricket, and play with their dogs or children.  Watched some people play cricket but I'm sure I'll never understand that game, it looks way too complicated.

After hanging out in the really nice weather for a bit, we went to walk around Richmond again.  Went into a chocolate shop and had a lovely cappuchino truffle!  I hadn't had chocolate in days, I needed it!  lol!  Lots of cute little houses and shops around so we just wandered until we felt like going back to the house.  Had dinner and retired to the room upstairs.

Watched the 'Gossip Girl' finale online that came on as we were in transit to the UK!  I was so sad because I thought I'd have to wait until we got home, but TV Links is my savior.  It was great, though the Georgina story-line ended too abruptly and no one was actually happy in the end.

Today we're going out to look for a job for David.  :D
