Yesterday was 4th of July, obviously, and being that we are Americans we had to celebrate despite being here in England. BUNAC put together a river cruise on the Thames, complete with two bars and a DJ. It was legend!
David met me at my job (which BTW, is extended yet another week! I've been working there over a month, which is nice and cushy for me!) and we ate a bit of dinner at one of the pubs close by. Last time I was there they had London Pride, but yesterday that tap was replaced with an ale called Bombadier which was poor in comparison. :( Anyway... we took the bus from Old Street to get to the pier, only by the time we were getting close to our stop the bus was moving slower than we could walk and yet we couldn't get off! >:/ So finally we get there just in the nick of time to see a really drunk kid get denied entrance to the boat by the BUNAC people.
Lots of people there (over 300) which made for a pretty good party. Snacks would have been nice, as well as a boat with more than one bathroom, but it was a great time had by all. Met up with Simon, Weslie, Lindsey, Chris and Kelly, among other people we saw that we knew, and basically just got rowdy and pissed! Way to go America! :D
Today we're not sure of plans, but tomorrow is Oxford! Probably have a bigger, better update then. Later!
