David and I finally laid down plans for our first big trip out of London! Earlier this week we bought our Amsterdam/Bruges tour tickets!! :x I'm really excited, because this was definitely a trip we wanted to go on. I mean, for one, its Amsterdam. That city and really the whole country is supposedly really beautiful and exciting. Plus, ever since we saw In Bruges we knew we wanted to go there. Yeah, it was kind of a crazy movie to say "Hey, lets go to that place" but it just looked so nice in regards to scenery and such. They've got this really tall tower that you can climb to the top of and apparently see the whole city and a church that has a vile of "Christ's blood.
Also, we really wanted to go to Oxford and found some super cheap train tickets! :D £10 each return (which means round-trip). So not this Sunday but the next we'll be heading to Oxford for the day! I'm excited about this museum they have there which is supposedly really awesome (apparently it is closing for refurbishment the day after we are there so whew!); they've got shrunken heads! Plus, there's Christ's Church College, which I believe is the oldest college at Oxford and just happens to be the set of the dining hall for Harry Potter! :x
**Small Edit** An hour or so after writing this we booked our next trip: Prague! Weslie, Simon, David and I are going to rent an apartment there for 4 days, which is surprisingly cheap (about £80 a person), and we've found ridiculously awesome airfare (£97 return) on EastJet.
I'm kind of spoiling the whole thing before we even go anywhere. Lol... But I'm sure I'll have lots more to say once we've actually been.
Last night was a house BBQ with all of our flatmates. Everyone brought some sort of meat or salad and we all had a big massive feast which was really, really yummy and then sat around outside, drinking and talking. All my flatmates are lovely! Although some do occationally get on my nerves due to their insistence on speaking at shouting levels constantly, its a pretty nice scene.
Well, I NEED to post pictures but I'm so lazy. I update from work mostly and then by the time I get home I've been on the computer all day and don't feel like getting back on. Plus my camera is about dead. I'm proud of her, though, as my batteries were about spent in Lille but she kept snapping away and made it through Lille, market Sunday, and the BBQ. YEY CAMERA! My hero of the day! :D
After I killed him, I dropped the gun in the Thames, washed the residue off me hands in the bathroom of a Burger King, and walked home to await instructions.
