Vancouver - Apparently I can't just fly around the world in one fell swoop

Stıll a bıt grumpy that the aırlıne made me travel all the way back from Tokyo to Canada, just so I can head off to Europe. Apparently, ıf I dıdnit come back to Canada fırst and meet the crıterıa for two return flıghts, I would have to book the tıckets as an around-the-world tıcket, whıch worked out to about $10,000. Thus I ended up packing my bags and flying from Tokyo to Portland, then on to Vancouver.
Vancouver was a lot of fun, and surprisingly, sunny! I had a chance to stock up on some last-minute supplies before flying off to Europe and met up with Kieran and Liz for drinks. We agreed over the second beer that the next step to our world domination plan is something in the renewable energy sector...that or coffee shops.
I was hoping to spend a little quality time with my aunt and little cousin, but timing didn't work out as well as I hoped and my cousin slept the entire second day I was there. This just means I will need to make another trip out to Vancouver!
