Doha - Dubai Jr.

My flight to Dubai that day had a 6-hour stop-over in Doha, so I decided to just get a visa at the airport and head into the city. Many claim Doha to be Dubai Jr. with vast resources being spent on infrastructure and construction. While I did see a large number of cranes and some fairly impressive skyscrapers, I think it’s still quite a ways behind Dubai. Supposedly the one big project is the Pearl, an elite residential area that is meant to rival the Palm Islands.

Whether it's due to my dashing good looks or the fact that people in Doha don't see a lot of Asians, a group of girls I ran into during my walk were super estatic to see me! They wanted pictures and I heard numerous "I love you's!" A guy can get used to this!
