Downtown Seattle
Shane and I ventured into downtown Seattle to check out possible venues and hotels for his plans for a Seattle TB meet in September. I've only been in actual Seattle one other time and it was just for a Mariner's game and I didn't get to see very much of the area. Shane showed me some pretty cool places and I got quite a taste for why people love the area so much! There were some amazing bars, quaint hotels, yummy looking bistros, and the most beautiful views of the mountains and water. WOW! It could not have been a more perfect day (weather wise) either. It was sunny and warm the entire day....mid 70's out!
We stopped by two hotels that Shane wanted to talk to about rooms and rates for groups and the first one was pretty much sold out for the intended weekend because of the Yankees/Mariners game. The proximity of this hotel to the ballpark and the waterfront and ferry were perfect! We checked out one other place right across the street from the ballpark....well I should say Shane checked out the place and I was forced to ward off parking enforcement and mean cops who chastised me for Shane's "stopping" in a no parking zone. HA HA
