Herning
Ive been living here since august 2007. I had to live here because of my studies at TEKO fashion school. Im doing purchasing and logitics over there. The school is established here because Herning used to be the fabric capital of Denmark but actually id rather see TEKO being in Arhus.. for example!
I know herning quite well now and i have to say thats its a really boring town ofcourse there are som things to do but herning us not cosy at all. Ofcourse i had a great time here but that was only with international people living in the hojskole aswell!! There are a lot of things to do but you cant survive in here without friends..in my opinion! and also Herning inhabitants are not really fond of foreigners?! they are really friendly when you ask for help but they are very close at the same time.. so its hard to get to know new people!
Anyway the surroundings of Herning are suitable for long walks and bike rides, or horse riding.. which i prefer :) There is also a lake nearby suitable for bbqing and swimming! But ofcourse the weather is only good enough during summer.. the rest of the year its rains, sometimes snow, but mostly rain and cold!
The hotspots of Herning: Baresso- For the (ice)coffee lovers among us)
Fotex- The biggest supermarket and biggeest assortment of herning
60ies club- To bad that not many younger people go here. . becasue the music is awesom!
sosterne grene- cheap shop with nice things you actually dont need, but still wanne have it :)
mc donalds- the only reason we go there is because of DDR ( dance dance revolution)
Library- because you can play WII over there and because of the big amount dvd and cd you can borrow!
Fox and hounds- really cosy irish pub.. just like murphy's on the other side of the road
Fermaten- this club where they have jazz bands and rock bands and all sorts of bands, but quite expensive
Teko- check out our school :)
