We took a long bus ride down to Agra. Driving down there was an eye opener on how India life is. There were so many people who lived in tent city, & they weren't even tents. Most of the peopl lived under tarps & bags. It was really sad to see. You would never see anything like this in the US. There was guys peeing on the side of the road everywhere. You also saw cars & trucks just packed with so many people, it was unbelievable. If they didn't have room for them inside, they would sit on the roof. You saw trash everywhere. Every water that you saw was filthy. When we finally got to Arga, your looking around at all extreme proverty, you wonder where you are going to stay at. Then all of a sudden this nice 4 star hotel is there, with gates. We had lunch then we were off to another Agra Fort. At the fort you can see the Taj Mahal in the distance. We learned a lot there. The we had some Indian people come up to Justin & I & asked if they could have their picture taken with us. It was a little weird. Our tour guide said that they are on their vacation to & they will go back to their villages & show everyone. He also said we were like movie stars. Then after that we went to the Taj Mahal. It was more amazing then I would have ever thought. Pictures does it no justice on its beauty. There was so many people there. When we were walking around the Taj so many people there also stopped us to get pictures taken with us. It was like every couple of steps another person asked for a picture. It was so crazy!!! The detailed work on the Taj was amazing. It is made up of all marble & the carved out designs in the marble. They also inlay with precious stones. You can't see that from the pictures. Inside the Taj, where the tombs are, also had the detailed work. Going inside & also getting out of the Tomb was so crazy. There was so many people trying to in & out that made us feel like cattle.
