WEDNESSDAY: DAY 13: I awoke early to catch sunrise out of our window since we were facing east, but to my dismay it was very cloudy and hazy. Got breakfast and drove down the road to tour the LOCH NESS 2000 EXHIBITION CENTER. It was high tech with 7 themed areas, laser and special effects. At the end you come out with the feeling that Nessie doesn't exist and was never real. The next one, the ORIGINAL LOCH NESS MONSTER EXHIBITION CENTRE made us feel differently, believing she may exist. At this one, we watched a movie and then looked at the exhibits which included photgraphic evidence, newspaper clippings and descriptions from witnesses claiming to see it. We personally liked this one better. I want to believe there is a Nessie.

It was raining as we headed to URQUHART CASTLE.

Overview of Urquhart Castle
It has a history of 500 years starting in the 13th century. I had wanted to see this one since my 1st trip to Scotland. It was 6 pound to get in unless you belonged to Historic Scotland which we didn't. First was a "mini movie" about it's history and when it was over the screen disappeared and these window shades opened to reveal a STUNNING view of the Castle! It was breathtaking for me! The grounds were crowded with tourists while it was still raining and chilly and there was a couple making out in one area. We slowly walked thru the area and the crowds decreased and the raining turned into a drizzle. I took tons of pictures here.

After we had our pictures taken, I was looking out into the loch and saw what we called " a disturbance in the water" I took a few pictures & zoomed in as far as it would go but the white looking thing looked too far away.

We were convinced! Who knows what it really was but we believe it was something that needs " further investigating!"

We went inside the visitor center to see the exhibit area where a model of what the castle looked like in it's hey-day was on display along with armour and artifacts were dug up in the area.

We exchanged money with the rate at 1.96, $700 for 352 pounds. That was bad. Oh well it is vacation!

The GLEN CAFE was where we had an early dinner. I ordered a HOT & SPICY PIZZA and CHOCOLATE CAKE for dessert! YUMMY! At 6:45pm, out of our window the fog was lifting from the loch. It was so pretty!Went down to the hotel bar for a couple of drinks. There were only like 4 people there so we decided to drive to the castle to see it lit up at night! It was also a pretty sight!

HAHA, I think that was the first time that I ever drove at night. It took like 1 hour to go 5 miles, lol. Remember the night before when we sat down at the loch waiting for Nessie, were we drunk??? LOL
