SATURDAY: DAY 30: Up at 8:30 and I ate hashbrowns and egg for breakfast. The guy that checked us out told us he had been to the states of Mississippi, Wisconsin and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. We talked to him for a while & he also told us that there was a room that was haunted. Too bad we didn't know this earlier or we would have requested it! lol We got on the A9 to CROMARTY & took a picture of another lighthouse and then went to BLACK ISLE WILDLIFE PARK that had different types of birds, goats, owls, zebras, llamas, alpaca, wildcat, meerkat, wallabies and swans and many other types of animals. It was a little crowded here being a Saturday and children which is expected.
It was another warm, clear & sunny day! Then we toured CAWDOR CASTLE. It started as a 14th century (1370) tower with additions in 1454, then more in the 16th and 17th centuries. This also looked like a fairytale castle which is still used by the Cawdor family today. We also walked around the Gardens that included a Walled Garden from 1600, Flower Garden from1700 and Wild Garden from the 1960's. The flowers were really pretty. We also walked a couple trails in the Big Wood (a forest). We then drove to CULLIN to our hotel for the night at CRANNOCH HOTEL. Our room was small but we had a cool looking bathroom with a funky blue commode seat. lol There wasn't much going on except for the older people & a 13 year old in the hotel bar right below our room. The hotel people did warn us that our room was above the bar & it would be loud till about midnight. We got ready & walked around town but other places were dead so we went back & watched a very funy Game show with a male host dressed in pink. He was hyterical & I can't remember the name of the show or the guy. I wish it came on the BBC channel here.
