From Pittsburgh to Honolulu

I went to Hawaii with my aunt and uncle & a friend of theirs for a week on Oahu in November. The weather was not as humid as I expected and the temperature was in the low-mid 80's with a little bit of rain and a whole lot of rainbows! We went to a laui, walked on many beaches, saw a blowhole, Pearl Harbor and even took a helicopter ride over Maui! That was an experience I'll never forget!

I spent Friday night at my aunt & uncle's house since we had an early flight  (7:40am) out of Pittsburgh, PA. We then had a 1 & half  hour layover in Houston which had a nice airport. From there to Honolulu we arrived at 4pm Hawain time which was like 11pm eastern time. There were palm trees outside of the airport & I could not believe that I was in Hawaii! We had to take a shuttle to the rental car place. We were supposed to have a mid-sized car but there weren't any left so we ended up with a SUV! We kept taking the wrong roads & it took us a while to find our hotel. We stayed at the Waikiki Banyon on the 23rd floor which we were staying in  a timeshare. We had a side view of Waikiki Beach! We had a balcony & I could not believe all of the hise rise buildings! We walked a few blocks & ate at a hambuger place & then back to the hotel to sleep. Wow were we jetlagged! I think we slept for 12 hours.
