The end of another day
April 13, 2008
This was at a rest stop just coming into town. Probably the biggest roadrunner (New Mexico's state bird) around!
The Hotel tonight was different and special in comparison to most others we have stayed in over this or previous trips. Yes, it was still a 3 star Best Western, but this particular one was built using a different mind set, a different outlook. Everything about this facility is Spanish Mission style. Beautiful and colorful Spanish tile surrounds the mirror in the room, and there is a headboard and built-in nightstand that is covered in different Spanish tile. Even the bathroom was decorated in the Spanish tiles.

Old Spanish Style
The Best Western Mission Inn is appropriately named here in Las Cruces. The use of Spanish style tiles and décor is very attractive and makes you feel very welcome. With only about 65 rooms this facility would be considered medium sized, but with the addition of a full restaurant at the front it and its layout it feels much larger. Our room had two beds with a nice built-in table between with the tile work on top and edge. The bathroom included the same type of tile work both on the counter and surrounding the mirrors. All of the usual amenities were included. Parking was very convenient. We also received coupons for any breakfast valued up to $4.99 each, which was nearly everything on the menu.
