Palm Beach
Today we are scheduled to make a couple of stops while driving almost due north. From the hotel we had stop for some breakfast at the local McDonalds. Can you believe they even had grits on their menu?? In a McDonalds?! Only in the south. J And the breakfast burritos we ordered came with a mass of peppers chopped up in them. Kinda spicy compared with what we are used to in California, where the same sausage burrito does not include any spicy peppers. The help there are so fun, when I asked about the grits they giggled and ask where I was from. I had to chat with them for awhile.
Then on to Palm Beach to see a church we have read about. This Episcopal Church was the first Protestant Church in southeastern Florida and started in 1889. The present building was erected in 1926 and is magnificent. We spent several minutes taking pictures and walking the grounds and gardens. The stained glass and church interior was so pretty. We also got a few pictures of downtown and a great old tree we saw.
