This year we planned to make a cross-country trip from our home in central Califonia to Key West Florida and then back by a slightly more northern route. First plan is about 45 days.

More Plantations

After leaving Oak Alley Plantation we headed north through Vacherie, Darrow, White Castle, even Baton Rouge and all the way to St. Francisville.  We saw many plantation homes, historic districts, and other beautiful old buildings.  We didn't get to take pictures everywhere because we either couldn't see the homes from the street and didn't want to pay a high entrance fee without some clue to what was inside, or because we didn't feel we had enough time today.  And a few were closed.  One thing for sure, we saw lots and enjoyed ourselves immensely. I hope you like the pictures we did get.
