I got several pictures of this old Route 66 Motel.

Driving took up the rest of our day. After spending three or four hours at Petrified National Park we decided to scrap a couple of other items. We did stop at one short side trip. Red Rock State Park. The colors and rock formations were very interesting and provided several nice pictures.

We arrived in Flagstaff in mid afternoon but we were tired and decided to call it a day. Today we made nearly 300 miles. Again we are at another Best Western, but this one has had many better days. Older and smaller, but still fairly clean. They claim to offer a continental breakfast from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. but we have already made plans to find something else.

Tonight we ate at Hunan East, a nice little Chinese restaurant. Shrimp, scallops and crab with plenty of veggies and served with a bowl of fried rice. Way too much food for the two of us. Too bad we couldn’t take some with us.
