There is a very famous item at Baker, California. For those of you who do not know it, the largest thermometer in the world is located there and has been there for many years. It is also one of the warmest areas in the southwest so the numbers up near the top are frequently lit. As we came through today I think it showed 93 degrees. Pretty warm for this time of year. There isn’t really a whole lot more to see in Baker, other than a few gas stations and a few places to eat. So it's basically one long main street where you take one exit to get off the freeway a couple of miles away you take another ramp to get back on. We took a couple of pictures and kept on going.
