On Saturday we wanted to do a city tour. A friend of mine recommended Fat Tire Tours because he enjoyed it a lot. So, off we went to Alexanderplatz, where they are situated. They have 3 different tours and we went for the City tour. Bikes are included in the price of Euro 20 and the tour is approximately 4.5 hours long. You stop for lunch n the way in a really nice German Beergarden. Lovely food and cheap beer, what more do you want.
We stopped or drove past the following sights:
Fernsehturm, Neptuns fountain, Humboldt University, Pariser Platz, Berlin Wall, Checkpoint Charlie, Holocaust Memorial, Brandenburger Gate, Soviet War Memorial, Siegessaeule, Hitler's Bunker, Reichstag and a lot more
If you don't have an awful lot of time and want to see as much as possible in a fun way, Fat Tire tours is perfect.
After that we tried our luck with the shopping again as it was the long night of shopping. Most shops on Ku'damm were opened until 12am that day but we didn't have more luck. I found one pair of shoes and Ed found....nothing! We said beforehand that we won't spend much time shopping and then off we went to Koepenick again. We were so tired, we didn't really feel like clubbing. Just a nice dinner somewhere near the hotel was exactly what we wanted and we found a really nice restaurant in the Altstadt. After dinner we went for a little walk around and the Altstadt is a lovely place, quite small though. Unfortunately it was too dark to take any pictures and we didn't get back again to take some more. Next time maybe:)
