Im gay but i really dont like rainbows!
This was my first proper day in Las Vegas, me and Ryan woke up and got ready to go. We caught a bus and bought allday travel tickets which are very worth doing, im sure they cost us $5 each. We took the bus, there was a British couple on the bus I could smell them from a mile away, they stood out so much they were so funny, they were Northern and the lady dropped her sunglasses and she said 'Oerrr Daaaaaaaavvvvvvveeeee Ivvvv dropped meeee sunglassesssss!' OMG it was so funny!
So anyways we went to the Bellagio where we went in and Ryan gambled a little bit and i just hung round marvelling at all the slot machines and the tourists, its certainly an interesting people watching place is Vegas. I took lots of photos of the courtyard area which is amazing, with the huge plants and watering cans.
Then we went to the Eiffel Tower ( i think it was the Bellagio..) but we couldnt buy tickets to go to the top as it was closed due to the high winds so we instead went up the restaurant and took photos from there and a really friendly employee took us up there and we got to see the pristine kitchen of the extremely high class restaurant. Next we headed over to the Venetian and i got some great photos of the exterior canal area and the facade of the hotel.
We went inside to the Madame Tussauds wax museum, tickets cost $24 but its definetely worth it. There were wax models of Julia Roberts, Oprah Winfrey, Tim McGraw, J - Lo, Michael Jackson and Tiger Woods amongst many others. There was a special horror exhibit there and we joined about 10 others on that, we had to walk with our hands on the shoulders on the people in front of us.
A really creepy guy leading the tour and a convincing actor told us a story and proceeded to die rather fakely. He had the most god awful blond wig on and this lady said 'I dont like his eyes', i told her 'i dont like his hair, thats the only thing that scares me!' so back to the tour we started walking through with our hands on the shoulders of the person in front in pitch black which was pretty unsettling and various people dressed as Freddy Krueger, Jason and Texas chainsaw massacre psycho jumped out and scared us but we were near the back so the people up front got the biggest scares, for us at the back we saw it coming and i laughed most of the way through it. It was good fun.
After we finished at madame tussauds we headed to the mall for some food and i had Wendys for the first time, its was very good, strange square burgers though! We wandered some more around The Strip and went back to the Eiffel Tower which was now open so we paid to go up and i took a ton of photos, got some great views of the city from there.
Then me and Ryan walked about a mile back to our hotel, watched some tv then went into the hotel hot tub which was a gift from god, it was heaven in there. Las Vegas was all that I expected it to be and better and i didnt spend too much money :) The name of this journal entry comes from a magnet I found which has the title on it and it made me laugh so i bought it!|
