Today Karina had to go home again. Before she left we decided to all go for a walk to feed some ducks. As it was freezing we had to dress very warmly. Reagan spent most of the time looking for sticks to then trow them on the ice to see them slide. I remember doing exactly the same when I was a kid, it brought back some memories of the winters when I was her age... For some reason we didn't see any ducks until we were almost home again, so we stopped and fed them the bread we had brought from home. When we got back home we had hot chocolate with whipped cream to warm up again, and Karina then had to leave.

It was great to meet another TravBuddy even though we had not had much contact before this. Karina is a very nice girl and I am sure we will be in contact more after this meeting!

Some of my memories from winters past:

The road being so icy we could ice skate to school over the road!

The winter of 1979/1980 there was about 1 meter (3' 6") of snow and my grandparents got snowed in!

Going sledding on an old fashioned wooded sleigh instead of those new fangled plastic ones!
