I love beaches but I don't want to indulge a lot of finances just for the amenities, the crowd and the like. What i love is being one with nature and Potipot offers everything what an average dude like me could afford.

Potipot lies in Uacon, Candelaria, Zambales. It's a 254- km ride from Manila and for me the best way to get there is to take the midnight trip at the victory liner aircon bus station in monumento. It would take you at least 5 hours. Just remind the driver or the conductor to drop you at Dawal. Dawal by the way is one of the resort there but Iwon't encourage you to stay there instead go to Sun Bloom and look for ate Mercy and ask her to arrange a boat ride which will cost you around 400 pesos back and forth for a capacity of 6, ask for Kuya Steve. They are maasikaso and of course not an opportunista. The boat ride is only 5 minutes and viola, an island better than anything else----Potipot.

There are no amenities on the island and a 50 peso entrance fee during the day and a 100 peso entrance fee during the night is all that you will pay.

If you're planning to camp out, do so just bring with you your things. A little reminder though, you should leave no trace as in bring all your trash back to the mainland.
