still have nasty cold

thought i would have a quiet day today, I spent almost two hours just walking around the Tate, (very close to the hostel), great place, mostly free, loads of interesting art, particulalry some of the constable pieces, not keen on some of the contemporary stuff though. got a funny crayon for a pound, very cute, 5 different colours

came out of the Tate hungry so made my way through the city wandering along the thames, finding myself outside Westminister Abbey I kept going and crossed the Westminister bridge to where all the attractions are, and had chinese buffet at the place next door to the Movieum, very average food, but I guess you can eat as much as you want- though not a big help to me as have such a tiny appetite anyway

then just walked back to the hostel, got some cheap postcards of london on the way, only 50p for 7, and some places were selling bigger ones for a pound each, am afraid to buy anything bigger than a postcard though as am rapidly running out of space and clothes, as have been dumping clothes along the  way to make room for other things, like silly souveniers-but i still love my creepy plague rat puppet, will post pics soon-actually will post loads of pics in a couple of weeks as will be home soon

another quiet night tonight to prepare for an early morning start

6 more days to go
