back in london
May 19, 2008
Arrived back in London last night after a 18 day tour of Europe with contiki, saw 10 countries, talk about a whirlwind tour.Am sooooo tired, am just sitting in the london cafe next to my hotel wasting time until i can check into my next accommodation, a cheap hostel, hope its not too bad, it really is very cheap. weather is changeable the sun keeps coming out and then going away again, at least its not raining,
had a very early night last night, felt a bit crap, so just had one drink to say goodbye to the remaining members of the tour group
then went to bed
can always facebook them, it seems very popular
will publish entries from the tour soon when i have time
going to do the tourist thing tomorrow
more soon.....

cheap but cheerful
For cheap accomodation, this place was suprisingly nice
the staff are really friendly and nice,
i cant believe i only paid ten pounds a night
the rooms are small as expected, but not tiny, room to spread out my pack and get organised, i had a four person room so two sets of bunk beds
we had our own tiny little bathroom, was expecting to share with the whole floor, but the shower was awful and the toilet seat broken
but we had a kitchenette, a sink, kettle, little electric oven and a good sized bar fridge
the only real down side was carrying up my luggage all those flights of stairs, but lovely man helped me up to reception, staff really are nice.
As a single woman travelling alone it felt like a nice safe place to come home to with good security, you get a key to the front door, one to the room door and a locker in your room for valuables,
all in all good value for those on a budget.
