Tour of europe followed by backpacking around uk, seeing relatives and site-seeing. Includes England, Scotland and Ireland.

London; The Royal national hotel

Got the tube easily from heathrow to my hotel station-no problems, so glad i had my oystercard before i left australia,

Finally arrived at my hotel after taking a wrong turn and getting lost for about an hour in the pouring rain, and my umbrella-not so good-there had to be a downside to the ridiculously small umbrella.  Feel so stupid, got almost all the way to kings cross, I blame jetlag, should have got a taxi.

had to wait until 2pm to get into my room which meant wandering around for ages in the cold, although i did manage to find a shopping area and a grocery store, where I bought gf foods including jaffa cakes, not bad not as good as i remember them, although gf food is never as good as the real thing, also some gf chocolate filled croissants which turned out to be awful-but at least there was more variety than home

drank coffee in the london cafe, right next

feeling very sick by the time i got up to my room

threw up, had a sleep, skipped dinner had an early night, feeling quite crap actually

Next day

feeling better after a whole nights sleep

decided it was too grey to go on the eye so walked over to the british museum, huge place, lots to see had a long wander round before having a late lunch supermarket style

Went to the before tour meeting and met some of the group, had only one drink at the london pub, felt so sick could barely touch my chips, even thought they were super yummy-went to bed sick again :(
