nice short drive to amsterdam where the weather was much improved

one of the first things i did was to wait an hour in a queue to visit the Anne Frank house, well worth the wait. So sad, felt very strange, especially towards the end going up such steep narrow staircases, knowing how long they lived there and what it must have been like. Very touching and intimidating.

felt like i needed some company after that so joined up with some nice aussie girls from the tour and wandered around with them for a while, we had pommes frites from Febo-very cool and walked around the city

caught up with some of the boys from the tour and shared some "smokes" with them-super relaxed for the rest of the day-i slept well that night

Optional dinner tonight was nice-lovely restaurant i had a glass of wine and fish for the main, after a salad entree

then we went on the optional cruise, which i think everyone went on, lots of fun, although i didnt drink much, didnt really need to

skipped the sex show in the red light district-i was just too tired-and nervous of getting back to the hotel in one piece

all in all a fantastic day

would like to see alot more of amsterdam-although i did get to see one of those hilarious bikes that lots of people can use, they all sit around in a circle facing one another

forgot to try whole raw herring and would like to have tried the liqueur mad from gold particles

would like to come back one day, with good friends
