Nice late morning start, got a sleep in as the bus didnt leave until 9am
salad at the lunch stop, pretty average, but nice to get off the bus, found the self cleaning toilets facinating, the seat actully rotates through a cleaning thing, and they automatically flush as soon as you get off, so no leaning forward ha ha
Saint Goar is lovely, we arrived early in the afternoon, so had some time to wander after checking into our hotel. Beautiful bright sunny weather. Saw the worlds biggest free haning cuckoo clock, am sure i should be more impressed. Some lovely teddy bears though, including a huge one outside the shop, you just want to give him a big hug, but not touching! I splurged on a small Stierf bear, a little dear, but soooo cute, couldnt resist it, and after all they are collectors items, he is handmade from real mohair.
Dinner at the hotel tonight-followed by wine tasting underground in an old wine cellar. Wine tasting was lots of fun, we even got to keep our tasting glass. Started with a nice red (I usually hate red), smooth and a little sweet, followed by three kinds of white, felt strange to start with the red though, wines were quite nice, but a few people didnt like theirs and serves seemed quite big. Wine also seemed quite strong, felt quite tipsy on the short walk back to our hotel and then had a vodka mixer before designing the picture for our tour t-shirt, which may have been better done sober, lol.
