Well having broken the ice at the first meetup and now becoming a full fledged Travbuddy I was anxious to relax and have some fun with my Vegas homies (James and Tracy I include you here as honorary members) and the new cast of characters that descended upon Vegas for the meetup (pvt Joy, Jillian, Mattrilla, Sven, Jenn, and the African Crab). While this was a Travbuddy meetup officially it was also a farewell party for Will and John who are flying the Vegas coop.

Three Angry Wives Pub...The Travbuddy Meetup and Will & John's Farewell Party

Within a few hours of our Travbuddy Red rock hike (AKA the photoshoot!) the gang came to get the party started at the Three AngryWives Pub. The hikers were now joined by Heinz (Jdax57), Will (W_Clemmons), Nancy (Fancynancy), Sven(Svenman99), Kaycee (KayceeDawn), and sadly one of our guests of honor, John (JPChoi) was unable to join us because of work obligations. The party was a hit...complete with great conversation, lots of laughs, great photo ops, flowing drinks, a Travbuddy Cake and the bestowing of the "furthest Travbuddy" shirt awarded to Sven...a hot pink Betty Boop shirt signed by all present...which he was made to wear...and wear it proudly he did!! During the party Will happened to mention that he had never seen a Cirque show during his time in Vegas.

..so without hesitation and with a little help from Will's handy Military discount...Will, Jenn, Matt and I raced off to make the next show of KA at the MGM. Though I had heard that it is not the favorite amongst Cirque du Soleil shows I have to say I enjoyed it immensely and was in awe not only with the great acrobatics and music but also with the unbelievable stage that would make any mechanical engineer quiver with delight!! I'm sure the good company I was in added to the great time I had without a doubt!

Matt, Jenn and Will took a breather after the show but since I had to be at work by 8am the next morning I decided to waste no time and regrouped with the gang at Cherry. By this point Melanie's Drunk-O-Meter was just about ready to hit "IRISH" and my arm was being twisted by Harriet to do Jaeger shots. Of course I happily obliged and shortly thereafter we all found ourselves doing some crazy dancing on the dance floor. By this time it was coming up on 3AM and I needed at least 3 hours of sleep to be coherent at work so I said my goodbyes and laughed and smiled all the way home recapping the fun times I had yet again with my current and new Travbuddy friends. I think the feeling was unanimous...we left each other feeling like we had just gotten together with lifelong friends even though some of us had never physically met before that day.
