Getting funky with the monkey
Nightlife is weird in Vietnam. Hip hop is played predominantly in clubs which have to be shut by midnight. I had been to Funky Monkey once 2 years ago, it was one of the very few places that play good house music in Hanoi. It is now saturated with Hip Hop and Pop tunes, with some ocasional hard house tracks thrown in. The young local crowd however is pleased with the foreigner DJ.

Only fish here
I had much expectation for Chả cá Lã Vọng, which is listed in almost every travel guide to Hanoi and even "1000 Places to See Before You Die". It is still a cheap nice meal to have in a cozy family restaurant with hundred years of tradition, though can be very oily, which is unusual for Vietnamese cruisine. An average for me.
