Tiësto in Bangkok
What's better than seeing Tiësto at a cozy club in Bangkok? If only having all your friends there to rock it with you.
Club 808 is marketed as the mega club of Bangkok, situated in the RCA entertainment complex. It has hosted an impressive list of international DJs including Roger Sanchez, Coldcut, Craze etc. The club has an impressive sound system, but a lack of soul, and little shame in packing as many people in as possible. Amongst Tiësto fans were the wealthy local kids and the out-of-place older expats.
Tiësto, despite of the cheesy opening, rocked the place with remixes of many classics. It is however unbearable to dance in Bangkok heat, with the club aircon turned off, or at lowest setting, so that the bar could grab as many $$$ as possible. Our wallet was thinning at no time when mixed drinks cost 200b each.
It was however an awesome night, and possibly the best clubbing experience Bangkok has to offer.
