I went with Mirko to Sukhumvit, Wayne went to Khaosarn alone but we agreed to meet each other for a drinking session right after dinner. ;) We introduced Mirko to the Khaosan bar strip and nightlife. As usual, we began jumping from one bar to another, listening to music ranging from alternative to house and doing all sort of crazy stuff – including my exceptional dance step that Wayne illegally took pictures of (hey, I have the exclusive rights to it!haha).
Deeper into the night when we went for a game of pool and I had my first win against Wayne, I couldn’t stop playing! Yeah, my rage became fueled! ;) As soon as it bored me, I left it to the boys and took a stab at hitting the bull’s eye with darts. I was having fun until I saw Wayne beside me trying to be competitive at darts now! Haha! But hang on, where’s Mirko? We thought, Oh he’s probably in the restroom. After a few minutes, I noticed Mirko hasn’t come back from the restroom yet and I began to worry. “Where’s Mirko?” This time I wondered aloud with a more concerned tenor. I plucked out my phone and dialed his number wishing he’d pick it up.
And thanks to my memory! I remembered the name of the hotel even the address and the way to get there when the driver seemed clueless! God, that’s why I hate it when my memory becomes rubbish because it doesn’t help when I’m in situations like this. Anyway, I hate to cut this short…but the story after this would take another 2 paragraphs. ;) To sum it up: It took me a lot of effort to find my room, get the keys from the receptionist, get things sorted between Mirko and the (his) taxi driver, apologize to everyone, and drag (almost carry) a 2-meter-tall Goliath into the elevator and then up the stairs.
The next day, Mirko tried hard not to remember but I decided to tell him every detail. Bwahaha! Of course, I got an apology. That’s what I deserve. ;) Hence, today was the day Mirko promised not to drink too much especially beer and I have it saved in my head as Wayne would forever remember how I rooted for Liverpool against Man Utd on that same day. Hahaha! Apart from the scammer we came in contact with today when we went to see some “sights”, this one had been an excellent day from beginning to end. ;) We did a lot! We went sightseeing, mall hopping (not like our usual hobby during daytime really…haha) bowling, chilling at the cinema and of course eating in between those activities.
Woke up at 11am, I had a scary dream about gigantic squirrels. I checked my phone and I got a message and a missed call from Belette (aka Francois). He’s the friend I was going to meet in Pattaya who’s also going to be my host. Now something made me laugh. Belette is a French word that means weasel or maybe squirrel and he got it as a nickname from his friends so I started calling him that.
After we checked out, I tried to see if Wayne’s already up. I knocked on his door a few times but no answer so I just slid a note into the gap. Apparently, when we’re on the taxi to the bus terminal I got a text from Wayne telling me he just woke up. Boo! That’s 2pm! He only gets up early during the time he was on a trip with me. Haha ;) Now his back to his old habit! Lol!
