Water Street, Gastown

This morning we had a wander around the area of our hotel just to get some idea of where we were. After lunch we headed for the Harbour and went to the lookout tower. It wasn't clear outside as there was smoke drifting from a Peat bog fire not too far away. After we had checked out a few areas from there we went to Water St., Gastown. There is a great clock there. We saw a bus that went to Stanley Park so we decided to go and have a look. When we got there, our bus ticket gave us a discount for a ticket to go on the horse and carriage ride. That was good. Of course it only covered a small part of the park but it gave us an idea. Then we wandered around a bit and over to the aquarium souvenier shop. We decided to get the electric bus back to the harbour area and went back up to the lookout to see if it was any clearer. Another cuppa and then we walked to a restaurant nearby for dinner. It was lovely. We were looking at Canada Place. It was starting to get dark so we went back up the lookout tower to see the city lights. Well we had seen as much as we could from there so we decided to go and look at the clock in Gastown again. It was getting quite late and the seedy characters were out and about so we got a taxi to take us back to our hotel.
